Chocolate Day

Yesterday my dad, Daniel and I went to Solitude ski resort in Salt Lake to go skiing/snowboarding (they ski, I snowboard). It was their annual Chocolate Day. Chocolate Day is my favorite day. We learned about it last year when we went skiing and we found all these booths around the mountain with various chocolate goodies. Then someone told us that you can get a "passport" and get a stamp at each chocolate station. If you get all 6 you can enter your passport into a drawing for cool prizes. We had a great time last year, so we did it again this year. It was super fun! They had stations with chocolate covered almonds, cinnamon bears, truffles, strawberries, chocolate milk, thin mints, hot chocolate and chocolate popsicles! It was great. My dad won a prize even! Besides being Chocolate Day, we had a great time. There was lots of powder and wasn't very crowded. I only fell once, and it wasn't even a bad fall! And I only fell once getting off a lift (that's a record for me). It was really fun. The pictures are of Daniel and my Dad enjoying their chocolate popsicles on the lift and of the 3 of us enjoying our hot chocolate at our last station. Print Friendly and PDF

can i just say that one of the main reasons why i resisted learning how to ski was fear of falling off the dang ski lift! i can't think of anything more mortifying. you are my hero! i think snowboarding looks so awesome, but if my husband ever manages to get me on a mountain, i doubt he will allow me to snowboard...he is a total ski snob! :P
