2 Months!

David is 2 months old now! He's just the most wonderful baby! He is really easy going and generally happy. We feel so thankful every day that he is ours! Here are some of the stats and milestones:

• Weighs almost 13 pounds now and is 24 inches long. That's 50th percentile for his age.
• Sleeps 6-8 hours at night!! I LOVE that!
• Loves bath time.
• Enjoys baby massage. I took a class on baby massage and have made it part of our bedtime routine. I really believe that this is why he sleeps so well at night.
• Has started grabbing toys on purpose.
• Smiles lots and seems like he's going to laugh any day now.
• Holds his head up pretty well
• Likes to face outward when being held
• Loves being outside
• LOVES his daddy!!!
• Loves having his diaper changed. I'm certain that he'll be one of those kids that rips his diaper off and runs around naked at any chance he gets.
• No longer takes a binky. He spits it out when we try to give him one.
  
• Sucks his thumb. Actually he seems to be auditioning all kinds of finger sucking combinations and hasn't yet settled on a winner. We'll see.
• Blows lots of spit bubbles
  

He spent his 2 month birthday with all 4 of his grandparents, 2 of his great-grandparents and some good friends. They were all here for David's blessing at church. Daniel gave him a beautiful blessing. We have such a special boy!! For the blessing David wore the same little white suit Daniel wore when he was blessed as a baby. I'm so glad my mother-in-law saved it and gave it to me for David. It made the day extra special. He barely fit in it. Good thing we didn't wait any longer!

The whole weekend of the blessing was a blast! We went to a great air show here at the base, took a ferry to Seattle and toured the Pike Place market. Daniel took our visitors to the C-17 simulator and that was a huge hit. We also went to the Museum of Flight in Seattle. They have the best WWII display I've seen. They also have an old Air Force One jet that you can tour. That was cool. It was so wonderful to spend so much time with David's Fan Club!
